Preliminary Windows 8 support
Window Clippings version 3.1.131, which has just been released, adds preliminary support for the Windows 8 BETA.
As you can see, the shadows and square corners of the window have been taken in account and properly copied.
Note: The current publicly available version of Windows 8 contains issues related to how the size of the windows is computed; more specifically, DwmGetWindowAttributes(hWnd, DWMWA_EXTENDED_FRAME_BOUNDS, …) does not always return the correct rectangle size. This will be fixed in the final version of Windows 8. Expect an update to Window Clippings as soon as the RTM version of Windows 8 gets public.
Great to see that windowclippings is not dead. It’s still my favourite screenshot utility 🙂

Window Clippings should be offered for free, aka freeware.

Agree, but unfortunately author of this app did not want to make it free. Even the free and pro version with more features would be better option – more happy customers which can test the software before buying – more revenue to the owner…

I’ve forgotten – as of now, there is a trial version avaliable, but the watermark disqualifies it for me. And I’d even pay for this amazing app, but if the price would be lower, under $10…
Did the price for the license even changed since the purchase by Epsitec SA?
And I think this app cold go freeware, as the CreativeDocs.NET is freeware.
